For example, recovering ocean-bound plastic is more cost-effective and impactful than recovering marine litter. Formal work also means that workers receive upskilling & job training, which ultimately improves the environmental efficiency of plastic waste recycling. ‘The Activist’ had every potential to become an educational experience that sparks interesting conversations about impact.
