HealthyBaby is a brand that sells diapers, babycare products, and prenatal vitamins. Their diapers are the first and only EWG (Environmental Working Group) Verified diapers on the market. Their products are made with planet-based, organic materials without unnecessary parabens, phthalates, fragrances, or other harmful chemicals, and are Certified Plastic Neutral through rePurpose Global.

“A healthier future for all starts with the choices we make for our children today,” –HealthyBaby

As part of their commitment to sustainability, and as a continuation of their mission against unnecessary chemicals, HealthyBaby funds Verified Plastic Recovery through rePurpose Global. For each diaper purchased, HealthyBaby funds the recovery of an equivalent amount of plastic from the environment. This not only certifies their diapers as Plastic Neutral, but allows the brand to eliminate plastic pollution while they work to reduce plastic from their operations wherever possible.

“Plastic waste has no place in our vision of the future. We embrace our responsibility to clean up the world by eliminating and reducing plastic wherever possible. Our diapers are a Certified Plastic Neutral Product, and we’re not stopping there. Stopping the demand for unnecessary chemicals is not only good for our babies’ brains and bodies, it’s also our duty to protect the natural world.” –HealthyBaby

A Holistic Impact Approach

HealthyBaby initially partnered with rePurpose Global in 2023. Since, they have funded the recovery of just under 1 million pounds of plastic from our planet. That’s the equivalent of over 1 billion straws or 82,051,455 shopping bags in just 1 year. Funding Impact Projects through rePurpose Global has allowed HealthyBaby to support 930 waste workers at 3 different Impact Projects. Recovery funding through rePurpose Global not only helps clean waste from our planet, but also supports waste workers with consistent, safe working conditions and equitable pay.

HealthyBaby funds Impact Projects Hara Kal (Green Tomorrow), Saaf Samudra (Clean Sea), and previously, Sada Shakti (Eternal Courage). rePurpose Global has Impact Projects across 7 countries and HealthyBaby’s funding targets pollution hotspots in 3 areas of India. Saaf Samudra in Goa is home to some of India’s most beautiful coastlines. This impact project removes ocean-bound plastic, protecting the Arabian Sea and its rich marine biodiversity including turtles, dolphins, and endangered corals. Project Hara Kal in the Indian state of Kerala, an area known for lush mountains and tea, coffee, and spice plantations. This Impact Project works to stop ocean-bound, low-value plastic waste from leaking into Kerala’s beautiful palm-lined beaches.

Funding the recovery of low-value plastics in vulnerable communities like India, HealthyBaby is able to have a lasting impact not only on the environment but also on the children impacted by plastic pollution and climate change. rePurpose Global Impact Projects not only prevent harmful plastic from leaching into our environment, but also the communities and workers faced directly with the plastic crisis. We can measure our impact in verified pounds of plastic recovered, in individuals with improved working conditions, and in communities with expanded access to waste management infrastructure.

HealthyBaby’s commitment to sustainability has helped differentiate their brand amongst the many babycare brands that claim to care about children’s wellbeing. By partnering with rePurpose Global they’ve been able to expand the consideration they show for health and development to a global scale. HealthyBaby recognizes that the plastic crisis is a concern for everyone’s futures, that’s why they’ve chosen to build sustainability into the mission of their B-corp.

The Plastic Neutral Certification on their diaper boxes demonstrates their continued commitment to the wellbeing of future generations and appeals to eco-conscious parents. They share tips on how to move towards a plastic-free lifestyle along with other parenting tips on their blog, positioning themselves not only as a leader in sustainability, but as a resource for their customers.

However, HealthyBaby’s partnership with rePurpose Global is much more than just a certification—it’s a reflection of their deeper mission to create a healthier, more sustainable world for future generations. By funding plastic recovery through an organization that also supports waste workers, they’re taking meaningful steps toward reducing the long-term impact of plastic pollution with the most holistic approach possible. As they continue to innovate and push for a cleaner future, their collaboration with rePurpose Global stands as a powerful example of how brands can drive change beyond their own operations. Through this partnership, HealthyBaby is proving that sustainability isn’t just a business goal—it’s a responsibility to both our planet and the children who will inherit it.
