The Solution
rePurpose Global met True Botanicals where they were and evaluated all available data, even across siloed systems with inconsistent formatting. We were able to advise the True Botanicals team on which data truly mattered and what could be left out, helping them to avoid “boiling the ocean” even as data from suppliers remained difficult to interpret. As their team put it, "the process was painless because the team was so knowledgeable regarding how to interpret the data provided.”
Notably, rePurpose was able to bring clarity and strategic guidance to multiple nuanced situations, from how to handle in-store tester units and kit bundling rules to determining when tertiary packaging needed to be included. Our in-house sustainability team helped advise on local recyclability information for complex packaging formats and package colors specific to True Botanicals. Because recyclability is influenced by factors like packaging format and color—and many of these nuances vary by local infrastructure—this support ensured that True Botanicals’ EPR reporting was accurate, defensible, and aligned with how materials are actually processed in the real world.
By centralizing all packaging, sales, and supplier data into a single, streamlined system, we gave True Botanicals a foundation they can build on—making future reporting faster, easier, and more cost-effective. What started as a last-minute compliance need for Oregon – which we delivered on despite tight timelines! – became a long-term solution for navigating future states’ EPR laws with confidence.
