Consumer demand for more conscious packaging materials is on a visible growth trajectory. Brands across the board are making sustainability commitments and researching packaging options that deliver their product without compromising on the quality or experience - but this is not an easy task. The industry is still working towards innovative, scalable solutions that meaningfully reduce negative environmental impact. Moreover, there’s the time and effort required to transition from current packaging to newer options. Costs involved pose their own challenges - there’s the cost of transition and a premium to be paid for innovations that are yet to scale. These realities often make it difficult for brands to make a ‘better for the people and planet’ choice for their packaging.

Towards this end, we are excited to be partnering with AE Global - a partnership that offers packaging solutions that also deliver meaningful impact. Through this partnership, AE Global will now extend the opportunity of funding plastic waste recovery that is 1x or 2x the amount of the material used in the packaging. In essence, AE Global clients can opt for a more meaningful packaging solution that at the most cost effective price point - making impact more accessible to more brands!

This partnership is an extension of an existing relationship between rePurpose Global and AE Global, that has already funded the recovery of 383,932 lbs of ocean-bound plastic waste as of February 2025. That’s equivalent to recovering 9.6 million plastic bottles before they enter our oceans.

Signing up for this unique offering allows brands to have a positive, measurable impact on our planet through rePurpose Global’s impact projects. Brands help fund and support waste management initiatives that target environmental pollution hotspots globally. In addition to reducing waste leaking into oceans and our environment, our impact projects  also create local jobs, offering consistent and equitable employment opportunities for the communities involved. Through these initiatives, brand partners help improve working conditions for waste warriors, ensuring that workers have dignified work environments and their communities get access to consistent and reliable waste management services.

CPG companies work closely with rePurpose to drive meaningful change through our impact programs and in their brand operations. The time for sustainability action is now. With consumer demands for greener options growing, it’s essential for your brand to step up and lead the sustainability charge. Differentiate your line and position your brand as an industry leader by implementing cost-effective packaging solutions that also contribute to delivering positive environmental and social impact.

Our mission is to make impact accessible to many industries through our partnership with AE Global. They are a market leader in packaging solutions, offering a full range of packaging products and services across industries, robust distribution footprint, and vertically integrated manufacturing facilities all with a commitment to our planet and the brands they support.

Health & Beauty and Cannabis, amongst many others, are some of the leading examples of industries that AE Global services. These are also great examples of industries that can make a huge impact by opting into this unique packaging program.

Beauty packaging contributes 120 billion units of annual trash, with most landfilled, incinerated, or littered—eventually polluting our oceans. As cannabis legalization continues to spread across America, finding sustainable, low-cost solutions for their packaging waste is top of mind for both cannabis operators and consumers. A 2020 study from Ryerson University estimates that between October 2018 and August 2019, between 5.8 million and 6.4 million kilograms of plastic cannabis packaging ended up in landfills. And These are not the only CPG industries contributing to the massive plastic waste crisis. There are other expanding industries that need to take a hard look at their plastic use.

The rePurpose Global and AE Global partnership ensures that packaging solutions remain cost-effective, customizable and accessible across industries, while also delivering positive environmental and social impact.
