PARTNERS: ASPEN NETWORK OF DEVELOPMENT ENTREPRENEURS (ANDE), UPAYA SOCIAL VENTURES, GLOBAL BUSINESS INROADS

Context & Challenge:

  • Innovative waste management projects often face significant barriers to scaling, including poor investment readiness, lack of access to financing, and operational inefficiencies. Many projects struggle with opaque practices and inadequate technical readiness, preventing them from accessing further financing and effectively managing waste.

Our Intervention:

  • rePurpose Global launched the Global Impact Catalyst (GIC) Program to address these challenges by enhancing both technical and investment readiness of projects. The program conducts waste supply chain assessments, develops optimized processes, and implements risk mitigation strategies.
  • It offers leadership coaching, governance structure development, and financial planning support. The GIC program also conducts baseline needs assessments, policy development for ethical practices, and skill-building workshops.
  • The program implements audit and assurance protocols, compliance checks, and generates impact performance reports. It provides initial funding, market linkages, and access to investors through outcomes-based financing modalities.

Key Outcomes:

  • The Global Impact Catalyst Program has improved technical and operational efficiencies in participating projects, and secured funding for multiple projects, enabling them to scale. GIC has supported more than 45 innovators across 4 continents.

Key Outcomes:

The Global Impact Catalyst has positively impacted 45+ plastic waste management innovators by scaling their capacities and providing investment readiness support.
